TEHRAN – After Abdolnaser Hemmati, who had been named as Iran’s ambassador to China, was tasked to take over as Iran’s central banker, the Foreign Ministry said Tehran will soon name a new ambassador to China.
Last month, Hemmati was appointed as Iran’s ambassador to Beijing; however he replaced Valiollah Seif as the new governor of the central bank.
“Mr. Hemmati was one of our new colleagues in the Foreign Ministry,” Qassmmi was quoted by ISNA on Saturday. He also congratulated Hemmati on his new post.
The spokesman also said Iran and China enjoy good relationship.
